The 471 submitted applications for this ranking have been reviewed under the direction of Prof. Dr. med. Nikolaus Franke from the Vienna University of Economics. The selection of the 100 top innovators is based on 5 performance indicators: Innovative Processes and Organisation, Climate of Innovation in the Organisation, Innovation-friendly Senior Management, Outward Looking/Open Innovation and Successful Innovation.
