Fuel cell converter

The highly integrated, scalable DC/DC converter including an energy distribution function acts as the central HV unit in vehicles with fuel cells and converts the variable fuel cell voltage to the required voltage for the 400 V or 800 V on-board electrical system.

It is designed for input voltages of between 10 V and 600 V and provides a scalable electrical power of 50 kW to 250 kW at its output. Thanks to the use of SiC semiconductors, the converter and distributor assembly stands out due to its extremely compact design and its efficiency of more than 98 % – across almost its entire working range.
